Block trades, off the book.
An early concept for a private OTC desk on Solana.
Placeholder only. This form does not collect or transmit anything.
shielded until settlement
Bar lengths are decorative. No real market data is shown.
Size shouldn't move the market.
Pushing a large order through a public book signals intent and invites front-running and slippage. Darkdesk is an idea for letting two parties agree a block trade privately, then settle it in one atomic step on Solana.
Keep size off the book
The aim: trade size is not broadcast to the public order book while a deal is being negotiated.
Counterparties stay private
Who is on the other side is intended to be shielded until the trade settles, reducing opportunities to trade ahead of you.
Settle all-or-nothing
Both legs of the trade are meant to settle in a single on-chain transaction: either both transfers happen or neither does.
Quote. Match. Settle. Prove.
A simplified view of the mechanism we intend to design. Which components are cryptographic and which are trusted is not yet decided, and nothing is built or audited.
Request
A trader submits a sealed request for a block trade rather than placing it on the public book.
Match
A compatible counterparty is found without revealing size or identity to the public.
Settle
Both legs execute in one atomic transaction, so neither side is left holding a half-completed trade.
Prove
A settlement proof is recorded on-chain so anyone can confirm that a valid trade completed.
Hidden vs. public.
Darkdesk aims to reduce information leakage before a trade settles. It does not make a trade invisible, and settlement itself is on a public chain.
"Depends on design" means we have not decided and will not claim it: ordinary token transfers on Solana are visible, so size and addresses may be reconstructable after settlement unless extra shielding is added.
Known limitations — please read
- Reduced leakage, not anonymity. Darkdesk aims to cut pre-trade information leakage. It does not provide anonymity, and analysts may still link activity through timing, funding history or off-chain behaviour.
- Settlement is public. Final settlement lives on a public chain. Depending on the design, trade size and addresses may be recoverable afterwards.
- Trust assumptions are undefined. Whoever runs matching may see order details unless cryptography prevents it. That design is unresolved, and we will say so plainly until it is.
- No liquidity, prices or counterparties promised. Nothing guarantees a block can be filled, at what price, or by whom. No volumes or performance figures exist.
- Concept stage, not audited. Nothing is deployed to mainnet and no security review has been completed. Do not use it for real funds.
- Regulatory exposure. OTC and brokerage activity may be regulated where you live. Darkdesk is not a licensed broker, exchange or advisor. You must follow the laws that apply to you.
